In March of 2024, we started a nonprofit, The Therapy Barn. We rescue horses from the Bowie Texas Livestock Sale Barn and other resources to train for therapeutic riding. To date, two horses have been rescued - Jellybean, a retired barrel racer and Blaze, rescued from a kill pen. We are currently working on our PATH Intl. certification. PATH Intl. certifies and accredits centers, instructors, and equine specialists to ensure the highest levels of safety, ethics, and effectiveness in the equine-assisted services industry. Once we receive the certification this year, 2025, we will begin treating clients on the horses.
